About this course
Our Graduate Certificate in Biomedical Science (Genomics and Precision Medicine) is designed to meet the rapidly growing demand in biomedical science for graduates who are skilled in state-of-the-art omic techniques and who are versed in the language of genetics.

Structure
What you’ll study
In our Graduate Certificate in Biomedical Science (Genomics and Precision Medicine) you’ll study 24 credit points of subjects, including two 6 credit point core units in Clinical Laboratory Science and Genomics, Omics and Medical Applications. The course has a mandatory face-to-face core unit.
You will also complete 12 credit points of stream selective units spanning Cancer and Pathogen Genomics, Disease Diagnosis and Treatment, and Genomics in Clinical Practice.

Admissions
Admission to the course requires:
- a bachelors degree or higher award in science, medical or veterinary science, biomedical science, health science or a health-related discipline from the University of Sydney, or
- qualifications deemed by the Faculty to be equivalent.
International qualifications
For qualifications awarded outside Australia, equivalencies and entry requirements are determined based on the country, institution, and qualification.
A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.5 in each band
A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 20 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 22 in Writing
A minimum result of 68 overall and a minimum result of 61 in each band
