What you’ll study
You will complete:
- 6 x core units of study and
- 1 x elective units of study.
The course’s focus is on linking your education in environmental sciences (such as ecology, climate change and chemistry) with studies in politics and law, project evaluation and assessment, decision-making and conflict resolution. As a result, you will be able to understand the environmental problems that can arise and the disparate solutions that can be applied to solve them.
You can also pursue your particular interest with our range of electives, which include marine science, international development, law and the environment, geographic information systems, and more.

Admission to this degree requires:
- a Bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney or equivalent.
International qualifications
For qualifications awarded outside Australia, equivalencies and entry requirements are determined based on the country, institution, and qualification.
A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
