About this course
Our Graduate Diploma in Cancer and Haematology Nursing aims to assist nurses who care for people affected by cancer and haematological illness to develop their knowledge and skills for their care. Students will investigate the biology of cancer and haematology and associated treatments.
Who is it for?
Our Graduate Diploma in Cancer and Haematology Nursing is designed for registered nurses working in the cancer and haematology field, and builds on the Graduate Certificate by further developing specialised knowledge and higher level critical thinking skills.

What you’ll study
As part of our Graduate Diploma in Cancer and Haematology Nursing, you will complete:
- 48 credit points of core units of study, which include four specialty-specific units for the cancer and haematology courses.

Admission to this course requires:
- a pre-registration nursing degree from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification; or
- an embedded graduate certificate in this discipline from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification; or
- a minimum of five years experience as a registered nurse in Australia or overseas.

Domestic applicants
Domestic applicants are required to have a minimum of one year's experience as a registered nurse and be working in cancer and haematology nursing.
International applicants
International applicants are required to have a minimum of one year’s experience in cancer and haematology nursing.
A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 7.0 in each band
A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 23 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 25 in Writing
A minimum result of 68 overall and a minimum result of 68 in each band
