Structure
What you’ll study
The Graduate Diploma in Publishing requires the satisfactory completion of:
- a minimum of 24 credit points of core units of study; and
- a maximum 24 credit points from elective units of study. With the permission of the Degree Coordinator a maximum of 6 credit points can be taken as elective units from units of study outside those listed in the Publishing subject area of the Postgraduate Unit of Study Table.

Admissions
Admission to candidature for the Graduate Diploma in Publishing requires:
- a bachelor's degree with a minimum 60% average calculated over the whole degree, from the University of Sydney, including a major in the humanities or social sciences, or an equivalent qualification; or
- completion of the Graduate Certificate in Publishing with a minimum credit (65%) average, or an equivalent qualification.
International qualifications
For qualifications awarded outside Australia, equivalencies and entry requirements are determined based on the country, institution, and qualification
A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
A minimum result of 68 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
