About this course
Our Graduate Diploma in Science in Medicine (Metabolic Health) is a highly practical degree that has been designed to help students to develop a comprehensive understanding of the aetiology, diagnosis and multidisciplinary treatment of metabolic diseases.

Structure
What you’ll study
The graduate diploma requires the completion of 36 credit points of units of study including:
- 6 credit points of compulsory units of study;
- 24 credit points of stream specific units of study; and
- 6 credit points of stream specific or general elective units of study.
The course can be studied full-time or part-time and is largely taught online.

Admissions
Admission to the Graduate Diploma in Science in Medicine (Metabolic Health) requires:
- successful completion of the embedded Graduate Certificate in Science in Medicine; or
- a bachelor or postgraduate degree in a health or science-related discipline from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification.
- Current registration as a nurse (Registered Nurse (Division 1)) or allied health professional in an Australian or New Zealand jurisdiction with a minimum of 12 months relevant work experience.
Applicants must also have a minimum 12 months of relevant work experience.

International qualifications
For qualifications awarded outside Australia, equivalencies and entry requirements are determined based on the country, institution, and qualification.
A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.5 in each band
A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 20 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 22 in Writing
A minimum result of 68 overall and a minimum result of 61 in each band
