The Master of Agriculture and Environment trains you to solve the challenges of the 21st century: food security, climate change, and management of carbon, water and the environment. Structure
What you’ll study
The Master of Agriculture and Environment is a postgraduate coursework degree that will develop your skills in cross-disciplinary thinking and project management, and your knowledge in topics including food security, climate change and management of carbon, water and the environment.
You will complete core units and a specialisation, along with a series of capstone research units. Certain units require undertaking compulsory fieldwork prior to the start of semester. You will also complete elective units as needed to meet the requirements of your course.

Admission to this course requires:
- bachelor’s degree with a credit average (65 percent) in agriculture, science, economics, or an equivalent qualification, or
- have completed the requirements for the award of the Graduate Certificate in Agriculture and Environment from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification.
International qualifications
For qualifications awarded outside Australia, equivalencies and entry requirements are determined based on the country, institution, and qualification.
A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
