About this course
Our Master of Cancer and Haematology Nursing aims to assist nurses who care for people affected by cancer and haematological illness to develop their knowledge and skills for their care. Students will investigate the biology of cancer and haematology and associated treatments.
Who is it for?
Our Master of Cancer and Haematology Nursing is designed for Registered Nurses caring for patients the in cancer and haematology field to expand their knowledge, clinical capability and clinical research ability to advance their practice and improves outcomes for their patients.

What you’ll study
As part of our Master of Cancer and Haematology Nursing, you will complete:
- 6 x core units
- 2 x nursing elective units
- 1 work-based or research project as a capstone experience

Admissions
Admission to this course requires:
- a pre-registration nursing degree with credit average from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification; or
- an embedded graduate certificate or graduate diploma in this discipline from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification.
In addition, the applicant is required to be a registered nurse in Australia or overseas.
Domestic applicants
Domestic applicants are required to have a minimum of one year's experience as a registered nurse and be working in cancer and haematology nursing.
International applicants
International applicants are required to have a minimum of one year’s experience in cancer and haematology nursing.
For qualifications awarded outside Australia, equivalencies and entry requirements are determined based on the country, institution, and qualification.
A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 7.0 in each band
A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 23 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 25 in Writing
A minimum result of 68 overall and a minimum result of 68 in each band
