The Master of Computer Science (advanced entry) is available for applicants with a computing qualification.
Structure
What you’ll study
The Master of Computer Science is a postgraduate coursework degree. You will complete core, foundation and specialist units, and have the opportunity to undertake a specialisation. You will also complete a professional capstone or research project.
You will complete:
- 4 x foundation subjects
- 3 x computing professional core subjects
- 4 x specialist computing subjects
- 1 x professional capstone or research project, and
- Additional specialist, elective or core subjects.

Admissions
To be eligible for admission, an applicant is required to have an Australian bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a credit average (65 percent), or an equivalent qualification.
International qualifications
For qualifications awarded outside Australia, equivalencies and entry requirements are determined based on the country, institution, and qualification.
A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
