What you’ll study
The Master of Engineering (Electrical Engineering) is a postgraduate coursework degree that will help you develop specialised technical knowledge in electrical engineering, and learn about designing and building systems that generate, transmit, measure, control and use electrical energy.
You will complete
- 7 x core and elective Electrical Engineering units, with the option to specialise in Telecommunications Engineering, Power Engineering, Internet of Things, or Intelligent Information Engineering
- 2 x Engineering Management and Leadership units
- 2 x project or research pathway units
- 1 x elective unit

Admissions
To be eligible for admission, an applicant is required to have:
- an Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree in the relevant discipline with a credit average (65 percent) or equivalent qualification, or
- an Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree in the relevant discipline or equivalent, and five years relevant professional work experience, or
- the relevant University of Sydney Graduate Diploma in Engineering or Graduate Certificate in Engineering with a credit average (65 percent).
International qualifications
For qualifications awarded outside Australia, equivalencies and entry requirements are determined based on the country, institution, and qualification.
A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
