About this course
This program introduces students to the fundamentals of human-centred design of products and services, with a focus on interactive technologies and experiences. It promotes a creative and critical approach, within the framework of research-driven interaction design and user experience methodologies.

This degree is aimed at talented people who are seeking a career in the design of user experiences (UX), user interfaces (UI), interactive products and services, or who wish to use technology creatively for design and commercial purposes.

What you’ll study
The Master of Interaction Design and Electronic Arts is a postgraduate coursework degree in which you will develop critical skills for envisioning, creating and evaluating innovative solutions to a range of design challenges.
You will complete foundation and advanced core units in the form of design studios and technical workshops to develop your analytical, design and communication skills, as well as to gain an understanding of how best to convey the user experience of new products and services.
You will also complete a capstone unit comprising a client-focused studio, research project, dissertation or internship and elective units as needed to make up the requirements of the course.

Admissions
Admission to the Master of Interaction Design and Electronic Arts requires:
- a bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney or an equivalent qualification with a credit average mark across all units; or
- completion of the requirements of the embedded graduate diploma; or
- completion of the requirements of the embedded graduate certificate with an average mark of at least 70.
International qualifications
For qualifications awarded outside Australia, equivalencies and entry requirements are determined based on the country, institution, and qualification.
A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
