About this course
This program introduces the fundamentals of human-centred design of products and systems, with a focus on interactive technologies and experiences. The Audio and Acoustics specialisation will differentiate your skill set and enable you to work in the emerging area of interactive sound.

This degree is aimed at talented people who are seeking a career in user experience, interaction design, or who wish to use technology creatively for design and commercial purposes
Structure
What you’ll study
You will learn to design across multiple platforms and scales – from wearable computing and mobile applications to interactive architecture, responsive environments and urban informatics. Through a series of collaborative design studios and technical workshops, you will acquire the essential knowledge and skills for envisioning, creating and evaluating innovative solutions to a range of design challenges.
You can adapt this program to suit your interests by taking electives from other faculties. You will also build a compelling portfolio showcasing not only your design skills but also your understanding of how best to convey the user experience of new products and services.
The course culminates in a capstone research project, industry internship or graduation design project.

Admissions
Admission to the Master of Interaction Design and Electronic Arts requires:
- a bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney or an equivalent qualification with a credit average mark across all units; or
- completion of the requirements of the embedded graduate diploma; or
- completion of the requirements of the embedded graduate certificate with an average mark of at least 70.
International qualifications
For qualifications awarded outside Australia, equivalencies and entry requirements are determined based on the country, institution, and qualification.
A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
