Structure
What you’ll study
The Master of International Relations is a postgraduate coursework degree that will develop your critical thinking and analytical skills in issues involving international security and conflict, social and economic justice, poverty, development and environmental crises.
You will complete core units and selective units in international relations. You will also take elective units which can include completion of an optional specialisation, broadening your studies to include a particular area of interest.
Additionally, you will complete a capstone experience comprising either a semester long research project or a year-long dissertation, and complete elective units as needed to meet the requirements of the course.

Admission this course requires a bachelor’s degree with a minimum credit (65 percent) average calculated over the whole degree, from the University of Sydney, or an equivalent qualification

For qualifications awarded outside Australia, equivalencies and entry requirements are determined based on the country, institution, and qualification.
A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
