What you’ll study
The Master of Mathematical Sciences is a postgraduate coursework degree that will enable you to apply logic and quantitative reasoning to a vast array of situations, changing the way you think about your surroundings and how things work. You will complete elective units in mathematical research sciences, including advanced electives, along with a supervised research project and thesis.

Admission to this course requires:
- a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent qualification, including completion of at least 24 credit points of mathematical sciences units at 3000-level with at least a distinction average.
International qualifications
For qualifications awarded outside Australia, equivalencies and entry requirements are determined based on the country, institution, and qualification.
A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
