About this course
The Master of Medicine (Advanced) (Clinical Neurophysiology) aims to provide structured educational programs in neurophysiological monitoring to complement experiential learning in the workplace.
Who is it for?
This program is designed for anaesthetists, neurologists, neurophysiology scientists, and trainees in these areas who are currently enrolled in the Master of Medicine (Clinical Neurophysiology) program.
Structure
What you’ll study
To qualify for the award of Master of Medicine (Advanced) (Clinical Neurophysiology) students must:
- complete the requirements for the master degree with an average mark of at least 75% in 24 credit points of compulsory and/or stream specific units of study; and
- complete an additional 12 credit points of project units of study.
Students will be guided through the steps required to plan and execute a substantial research project and prepare a scholarly work which may be a paper for publication.
If you are interested in this option it is recommended that you complete PUBH5018 Introductory Biostatistics as one of your elective units.
Primarily taught online, your studies will be supplemented by intensive face-to-face teaching sessions which include practical experience in simulated diagnostic and perioperative settings.

Admissions
Admission to the program requires:
- completion of the requirements for the Master of Medicine (Clinical Neurophysiology)
- an average mark of at least 75% in 24 credit points of compulsory and/or stream units of study; and
- any other requirements as stated by the Faculty at the time of application.
International qualifications
For qualifications awarded outside Australia, equivalencies and entry requirements are determined based on the country, institution, and qualification.
A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.5 in each band
A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 20 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 22 in Writing
A minimum result of 68 overall and a minimum result of 61 in each band
