About this course
This accelerated version of our Master of Professional Engineering (Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering) degree is designed to provide you with deep technical skills in your chosen field of engineering along with professional development in communication, leadership, time and resource management.
Who is it for?
The Master of Professional Engineering (Accelerated) is the ideal two-year full-time degree for those engineers who have previously graduated with an undergraduate engineering degree in a related field seeking recognised accreditation to practice in Australia and overseas.
Structure
What you’ll study
Areas of study include bioelectronics and biocomputation, nanoscale biotechnology, and biomedical devices and machines.
You will complete:
- 6 x core Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering units
- 4 x Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering electives
- 2 x professional engineering units
- 2 x management electives or additional Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering electives
- a minimum of 2 x project or research pathway units

Admissions
To be eligible for admission, an applicant is required to have:
- an Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree with a 65 percent average, or equivalent qualification, in a related field of engineering to which the student is applying.
International qualifications
For qualifications awarded outside Australia, equivalencies and entry requirements are determined based on the country, institution, and qualification.
A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
