About this course
Coaching psychology is an applied positive psychology course and sits at the intersection of counselling, clinical and organisational psychology. This unique course will give you the skills to enhance productivity and quality of life of individuals, organisations and the broader community.

For anyone focused on coaching in business and organisational settings. The program aims to give you the knowledge to be a skilled coach, capable of coaching in an extensive variety of settings and with a wide range of clients including executive, management and personal coaching.

Using a client-centred approach, coaching psychologists help people and organisations achieve their objectives in areas such as career development, executive coaching, leadership growth, and organisational change.
The Master of Science in Coaching Psychology is a postgraduate coursework degree that teaches the applied science of human performance enhancement and coaching, providing you with theoretical and applied skills including an ability to implement coaching in a variety of settings. You can complete this course via either a coursework or research pathway.
If you are completing the coursework pathway you will take core units that develop your coaching practice, along with elective units that match your interests. If you are admitted to the research pathway, you will take core units including a research project in applied psychology, along with a reduced number of elective units.

Admission to this degree requires:
- a three-year Psychology degree with a credit average or a three-year degree in a cognate discipline from the University of Sydney or equivalent institution; and
- a minimum of three years relevant employment experience; or
- completion of the embedded graduate diploma in this discipline.
International qualifications
For qualifications awarded outside Australia, equivalencies and entry requirements are determined based on the country, institution, and qualification.
A minimum result of 7.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
A minimum result of 105 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
A minimum result of 76 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
