This course builds on the knowledge you've gained during our Master of Science in Medicine (Sexual and Reproductive Health), allowing high-achieving students to plan and carry out a supervised research project.

Structure

What you’ll study

Our Master of Science in Medicine (Advanced) (Sexual and Reproductive Health) requires the completion of 60 credit points of units of study including:

  • 48 credit points which are credited based on the successful completion of the Master of Science in Medicine (Sexual and Reproductive Health); and
  • 12 credit points of project units of study.

Students complete a research project in an area of specific interest relevant to their Masters degree. Students will be guided through the steps required to plan and execute a substantial research project, and prepare a scholarly work which may be a paper for publication.

Qualifications

Admission to the Master of Science in Medicine (Advanced) (Sexual and Reproductive Health) requires:

  • completion of the requirements for the Master of Science in Medicine (Sexual and Reproductive Health); and
  • an average mark of at least 75% in 24 credit points of compulsory and/or stream units of study; and
  • any other requirements as stated by the Faculty at the time of application.
